At Kontek Industries, building a shoot house is as simple as customizing our design and utilizing the proper components that make the right structure for each customer’s needs. One of the key features of our shoot house is the modularity that provides our customers the option to expand, connect, or separate parts in whatever manner they choose. Our designs are primarily made up of a lightweight grid system with a proprietary connection but also weather resistant.
Kontek’s Mobile Modular Shoot House (MMSH) comes in 4 main components:
The 4’ X 7’ modular PVC panels are designed and produced in-house with our router table. These panels can be made to form the walls, doors, or windows of the shoot house. The vertical upright, horizontal stabilizer bar, and universal quad connector are each made of aluminum and designed by our engineers.
The vertical upright is designed to be mounted into the universal quad connector and tightened with a hand nut. The horizontal stabilizer bar is designed to connect to each quad connector after the vertical upright is mounted. The modular panels are made to fit between the vertical upright and are connected on each side with 14-inch zip ties.
The 3 shoot house sizes we provide are as follows:
The Mobile Modular Shoot House can be configured to present as either an indoor structure that integrates into a building or an outdoor structure that stands alone. It can also be designed or revised to be a permanent, semi-permanent, or temporary structure. Floor plans can resemble specific rooms and hallways of buildings. The panels used for hallways and doors can be interchangeable to provide trainees with different scenarios. With our shoot house, you can also engage targets from different angles using multiple entry and exit points.
Before setting up your shoot house, you should sketch a layout of your shoot house and assess how many walls, windows, and doors you have. Then, you can complete the following steps.
Step 1)
Grab your vertical upright and mount it to the universal quad connector.
Step 2)
Insert the horizontal stabilizer bar to the quad connector.
Step 3)
Using a hand nut, tighten the vertical upright to the connector.
Step 4)
Position the vertical upright so that the quad connector is on top and then connect the 4’ X 7’ panel with a zip tie hand tightening system.
Step 5)
Repeat the previous steps according to your desired layout, working your way from the beginning to the end of your shoot house.
Once you complete these steps, you will be able to utilize your shoot house for effective training. You can also find instructions for assembling a shoot house on our YouTube channel.
